Jingle Bell Book Tag | 2020

Hello, book lovers! 💕

I decided it would be fun to do another Christmas book tag considering Christmas is only 4 days away. Which is crazy to think. Especially to think that December is already almost over! It feels like it just started.

But that also means 2020 is pretty much over. While I love the holiday season (which this tag definitely put me in the holiday mood), I’m excited to see this year over with, and I’m sure a lot of you guys are too.

But I wasn’t tagged to do this tag, but it seemed fun when I saw it on Dini’s blog @dinipandareads. So without any further ado, let’s get onto the tag!

“ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU…”
WHAT BOOK DO YOU WANT TO SEE UNDER THE CHRISTMAS TREE?

I don’t think that I actually asked for any books this year for Christmas. Especially because the books that I’m most excited to read next haven’t been released yet. But if I had to choose one it’d probably be Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas because I heard such good things about it when it came out in September. Even though I’m pretty sure it’d be a pretty good Halloween read.

“SIMPLY HAVING A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS TIME…”
WHAT BOOK THAT YOU HAVE READ THIS YEAR HAVE YOU ENJOYED THE MOST?

I think this one is pretty obvious: The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune. I feel like everyone who has read this book has enjoyed it the most out of the books that they read this year. It’s such a magical and beautifully written book.

“IT’S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS…”
WHICH BOOK HAS THE MOST FESTIVE LOOK TO IT?

I think out of all the books that I’ve either read or want to read, I’m going to have to go withThe Tourist Attraction by Sarah Morgenthaler. Honestly, it’s not the most festive, but it’s definitely giving me the winter vibes.

It’s definitely one that I’ll be getting to this month. I’d say I’d want to read it before Christmas, but I’m not sure if that’s going to happen at this point.

 “ELF”
WHAT BOOK UNLEASHES YOUR INNER CHILD?

I’m going to go with Harry Potter. There’s something about reading it that makes me feel like a child, with all the magic and friendship. I know it’s gotten a lot of hate lately, but it’s one that will always be dear to me. I mean I grew up with the movies, and I read all the books many times. It overall makes me happy.

 “THE GRINCH”
YOUR FAVOURITE VILLAIN…

Probably Eli from the Villains series (it used to be a duology, but I think there are supposed to be more books in the series). I love how the characters in that series are morally gray, where you can’t really tell who’s “bad” and who’s “good.”

 “THE HOLIDAY”
NAME YOUR FAVOURITE TWO COUPLES…

I have read so many romance books, so this is kind of a tough one. One of them is definitely Simon and Blue from Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli. But I’m probably biased with that one since it’s one of my all-time favorite books.

The other couple would probably be Daniel and Stacey from Well Played by Jen DeLuca. I haven’t finished the book yet, but I am shipping them pretty hard at this point. I also relate to Stacey a lot.

WHAT BOOK WOULD YOU LIKE TO GIVE AS A PRESENT TO YOUR FOLLOWERS?

Only one? Haha, there are so many that I’d love for my followers to read. But if I only were able to choose one, it’d no doubt be The House in the Cerulean Sea by T..J. Klune because if you couldn’t tell, it was one of my favorite books that I read this year. And I think everyone needs to read it.

So there you have it. The Jingle Bell Book Tag. I don’t think I’m going to tag anyone in this one, so if you want to do it, consider yourself tagged!

Have you read any of these books that I mentioned? Do you plan on reading them? I’d love to chat in about them in the comments below!
