Hello, book lovers! 💕
I feel like I haven’t read many books that are on my TBR for April, especially those that are for the O.W.L.’s readathon that is going on this month. It’s almost the end of April, which is seriously shocking how fast it flew by, and I think I’ve read four books, and two of them are ones that I’ve started in March.
I had five books that I wanted to get to for the Magical Readathon, and I honestly think I’ve read two of them. Although, I do think that Verity by Colleen Hoover could be considered for one of the prompts, even though I started it last month. I’m just not sure if counts since I didn’t read the whole thing in April.
The only other books I read for this month-long readathon are All the Stars and Teeth by Adalyn Grace and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by JK Rowling (which I just finished last night). I’m in the middle of The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli, and I’m almost done with it. It’s a reread for me, and it’s definitely putting a smile my face as I read it. I’m reading it pretty quickly, so that’ll be another one that I can check off my list pretty soon.
So if I count Verity for the prompt of reading something outside my comfort zone, it is possible that I might actually have some chance of completing all of the prompts/challenges before the end of the month. Because the only other book I would have to read is Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin. But if I don’t count it, then I’d also have to read Bringing Down the Duke by Evie Dunmore. However, I could listen to that on audio to get through it a little faster.
But as of right now, those are my plans for the rest of this month. They’re not set in stone in any way. Especially because I have so many other books that I want to read right now. If I’m not in the mood for the last two books that I have on my TBR, I’ll probably pick up something else.
Are you participating in the Magical Readathon? If so, how are you doing on your challenges? I’d love to discuss it in the comments below!
