Let’s Talk Bookish | Favorite Way of Reading

Hello, book lovers! 💕

Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly meme created and hosted by JR at Eternity Books where people discuss chosen topics and share opinion s on books. This particular topic is from March 13th 2020, though I just found it not too long ago on Blogger Books‘ blog and decided to give it a try.

Favorite format: Hardcover

While they can be heavy and a pain to carry, there’s something about a hardcover book that I just love. Maybe it’s the way I’m able to keep the book open while laying it on a table or my bed. Or maybe it’s the way it looks on my shelf; how deceiving it looks with the cover underneath taking the brunt of the damage and the dust jacket looking as new as it was when I first got it. I don’t see the cracked spine or the dirty spots that accidentally made their way on the cover when it’s on my shelf with the dust jacket on.

Though lately, I’ve been listening to audiobooks, which makes getting reading done when I’m doing other things. So if I had to pick a physical format, it’d be hardcover. But if I had to pick a digital format, it’d be audiobooks.

Favorite place to read: My bed

There really isn’t any other place better than reading on my bed. In the winter, I especially love reading when there’s a snow storm outside and I’m curled up in a blanket. In the summer, it’s still my bed where I love to read. It’s the best when there’s a thunderstorm outside in the summer and reading on my bed.

Favorite thing to eat/drink: Any kind of snack and water

I’m always snacking, and it really doesn’t matter what it is. Chips, popcorn, dry cereal, anything. And I always have a water bottle near me, because you gotta stay hydrated!

So there you have it. That was pretty short and sweet.

What’s your favorite way to read a book? I’d love to know in the comments below!
